BLOOD
WORK
A standard physical only scratches the surface. Our comprehensive blood work in Aventura maps the hormonal, metabolic, and inflammatory markers behind how you actually feel — turning lab data into a clear, personalized plan you review with a clinician. Individual results vary.
WHAT IS
COMPREHENSIVE
BLOOD WORK?
Comprehensive blood work goes beyond the limited panel of a routine checkup. We look more closely at hormonal, metabolic, and inflammatory markers to build a fuller picture of how your body is functioning.
For many people, it's the missing context: symptoms like fatigue or brain fog that a standard physical didn't explain often trace back to markers a basic panel doesn't include. Testing gives you a baseline today and lets you track trends over time.
We keep it straightforward — a convenient in-office draw, then a clinician reviews your results with you in plain language. Blood work is not a diagnosis on its own; it's the foundation your provider uses to guide next steps.

Who is
BLOOD WORK
For?
Comprehensive testing is worth considering if your labs came back "normal" but you still feel off, if you'd rather be proactive and track trends than wait for a problem, or if you've hit a plateau in energy, sleep, or performance you want to understand.
It's also the right starting point before beginning a hormone, weight-loss, or wellness program — one clear baseline to measure from. Your clinician will tailor the panel and scope to your history and goals.
THE RESULTS
You review your results directly with a clinician — what's in range, what's worth watching, and what it means in plain language, not a portal full of numbers without context.
From there, findings become a prioritized, individualized plan, with referrals for standard follow-up where indicated.
We then re-test on a sensible cadence so you can see trends and adjust over time. Individual results vary.
Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach out to Ideal Medical & Wellness if you cannot find an answer to your question.
- How is this different from my annual physical?A routine physical uses a limited panel to screen for disease. Comprehensive blood work looks more broadly at hormonal, metabolic, and inflammatory markers to help explain symptoms and track trends — interpreted by a clinician, and followed up with standard testing where needed.
- What markers do you test?Panels are tailored to you, and can include metabolic, hormonal, thyroid, inflammatory, and nutrient markers, among others. Your provider selects what's relevant to your history and goals.
- Do I need to fast before my blood draw?Often yes — many panels are most accurate after an 8–12 hour fast. We'll give you specific instructions when you schedule, based on the tests ordered.
- How soon will I get results, and how are they delivered? Results are typically available within 5–7 business days, and you'll review them with a clinician rather than receiving numbers without context.
- Is blood work a diagnosis? No. It's a tool your clinician interprets alongside your history and symptoms; it isn't a diagnosis on its own, and it doesn't replace the screenings recommended for you.
